تقریباً چار ہزار سال پہلے کا زمانہ تھا، جب دنیا کے نقشے پر بابل کا شہر اپنی پوری شان و شوکت کے ساتھ موجود تھا۔ یہ وہ سرزمین تھی جہاں علمِ نجوم، جادوگری اور فنِ تعمیر اپنے عروج پر تھے، مگر انسانیت ایک گہرے اندھیرے میں ڈوبی ہوئی تھی۔ لوگ پتھر کے بتوں، چمکتے ستاروں اور اپنے بادشاہ نمرود کو خدا مانتے تھے۔

اسی شہر کے ایک معزز گھرانے میں ایک بچہ پیدا ہوا، جس کا نام ابراہیم رکھا گیا۔

مستند تاریخی روایات کے مطابق، حضرت ابراہیمؑ کی پیدائش کے وقت نمرود نے نجومیوں کی پیش گوئی کے خوف سے نومولود بچوں کے قتل کا حکم دے رکھا تھا۔ چنانچہ آپؑ کی ابتدائی پرورش ایک خفیہ غار میں ہوئی۔

ذرا تصور کریں! ایک بچہ جو دنیا کے شور و ہنگامے سے دور، تنہائی میں پروان چڑھ رہا ہے۔ جب وہ پہلی بار غار سے باہر نکلا تو اس نے دنیا کو عام لوگوں کی طرح نہیں، بلکہ حیرت اور غور و فکر کی نظر سے دیکھا۔ جہاں باقی لوگ بتوں کے سامنے سر جھکائے ہوئے تھے، وہاں ابراہیمؑ کے ذہن میں سوالات کا ایک طوفان برپا تھا۔

بابل کی ایک صاف اور شفاف رات تھی۔ آسمان ستاروں سے جگمگا رہا تھا۔ ابراہیمؑ نے ایک روشن ستارہ دیکھا اور سوچا: شاید یہی میرا رب ہے (کیونکہ ان کی قوم ستاروں کی پوجا کرتی تھی)۔ لیکن کچھ ہی دیر بعد وہ ستارہ غروب ہو گیا۔

پھر چاند نکلا، جس کی روشنی ستارے سے زیادہ تھی۔ ابراہیمؑ نے کہا: یہ میرا رب ہے! مگر صبح ہوتے ہی چاند بھی غائب ہو گیا۔

اس کے بعد سورج طلوع ہوا، جو سب سے بڑا اور زیادہ روشن تھا۔ ابراہیمؑ نے کہا: یہ سب سے بڑا ہے، یقیناً یہی میرا رب ہے۔ لیکن جب شام ہوئی تو سورج بھی ڈوب گیا اور اندھیرا چھا گیا۔

(سورۃ الانعام، آیات 76 تا 79)

یہ وہ لمحہ تھا جب ابراہیمؑ نے کائنات کی سب سے بڑی حقیقت کو پا لیا۔ انہوں نے بلند آواز سے اعلان کیا:

اے میری قوم! میں ان سب چیزوں سے بیزار ہوں جنہیں تم اللہ کا شریک ٹھہراتے ہو۔ میں نے تو یکسو ہو کر اپنا رخ اس ذات کی طرف کر لیا ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا، اور میں ہرگز مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں۔

: حضرت ابراہیمؑ کی زندگی کا پہلا سبق یہ ہے

کہ سچ کی تلاش کے لیے اکثریت کے خلاف کھڑا ہونا پڑتا ہے۔ جب سب لوگ لکیر کے فقیر بنے ہوئے تھے، ایک بچہ اپنی عقل اور مشاہدے سے خالقِ کائنات تک پہنچ رہا تھا۔

انسان کو اپنی عقل اور مشاہدے کو کبھی زنگ آلود نہیں ہونے دینا چاہیے بلکہ ہمیشہ سچائی کی تلاش میں سرگرم رہنا چاہیے۔

: اس سے ہمیں یہ سبق بھی ملتا ہے کہ
صرف اس لیے کسی بات یا عقیدے کو قبول کر لینا کہ “سب ایسا ہی کر رہے ہیں” یا “باپ دادا سے ایسا ہی چلا آ رہا ہے”، ایک عقلمند انسان کا طریقہ نہیں ہے۔
ہمیں چاہیے کہ اپنی روزمرہ زندگی میں دوسروں کی اندھی تقلید کرنے کے بجائے حقائق کو پرکھیں اور جب سچائی واضح ہو جائے، تو خواہ پوری دنیا مخالف ہو، ہمیں اپنے درست موقف پر ڈٹ جانا چاہیے۔ یہ واقعہ ہمیں “تنہا ایک امت” بننے کا حوصلہ دیتا ہے کہ حق کے راستے پر چلنے کے لیے کسی ہجوم کی نہیں، بلکہ سچی تڑپ اور مضبوط ارادے کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔
