Tajweed Ul Quran

Master the art of Quranic recitation with our comprehensive Tajweed Course.

What Tajweed means

The term “tajweed” is well-known to those who have studied Quranic recitation. The word’s literal meaning is “to perfect, beautify, or improve.” It is a collection of guidelines used in Islam to assist readers in reciting the Quran like Jibreel taught Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Importance:

Learning Tajweed makes the recitation more beautiful and ensures that the meaning is not accidentally misunderstood. Because there are rules to distinguish similar letters, reciting without Tajweed may alter the meaning of words. The meaning can be changed by even the wrong elongations.

Advantages

Reading the Quran has numerous advantages. This hadith, which is wonderfully recounted by A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), explicitly illustrates the reward for reciting:

"Noble angels will accompany the one who recites the Quran with grace, ease, and accuracy. That award will be doubled for the one who recites it slowly, fumbling or stammering through its verses. [Bukhari, Al]

What the Quran Says About Tajweed?

وَرَتِّلِ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَرۡتِيلًا ( المزّمِّل: 4)

Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style

وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا ( الفرقان:32)

and We have arranged it in right order.

الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِ أُولَئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ (البقرۃ:121)

Those to whom We have given the Book, and who recite it as it ought to be read, truly believe in it;

The course primarily focuses on perfecting Quranic recitation through the proper application of Tajweed rules.
