Tajweed simply means “beautification” or “adornment.” One of the vital benefits of learning Tajweed is that it helps us understand the Quranic verses we are reading, reciting, or memorizing.
Yes, this is a significant mission for many reasons. Our Holy Quran is the book of Allah that was sent to guide us. Another remarkable purpose to learn Tajweed is to preserve the Arabic language, the Quran language. Recitation of the Holy Quran using Tajweed rules keeps the pronunciation and the meanings of the ayat.
Or a little more; and recite the Quran (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style
and We have arranged it in right order.
Those to whom We have given the Book, and who recite it as it ought to be read, truly believe in it;
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
